Simon Evans brings Friendly Fire to the Cube

Nothing will be safe from the critical glint in Simon Evans’ tiny eyes when the acerbic comic brings his latest show to The Core at Corby Cube next week.

In his new show Friendly Fire, Simon promises to dismantle the lies – from fairytales to post-match analysis – that confound us all.

Viewers of Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow or Live At The Apollo will already be acquainted with his cynical wit... and his extremely small eyes.

Renowned for his aristocratic, superior manner and his searing delivery, Evans draws on 20 years as a comedy circuit stalwart, not to mention his sideline as a writer for the likes of Jimmy Carr, Sean Lock, Dara O’Briain and for sports panel show They Think It’s All Over.

As Richard Richard, he has written and hosted seven series of Radio 4’s spoof news show The Way It Is and he has appeared as himself on The News Quiz, Armando Iannucci’s Charm Offensive and The Unbelievable Truth.

The show will start at 7.30pm on Thursday, May 2, and tickets cost £14.50 or £12.50. Ring 01536 470470 or visit The show is recommended for those aged 14 and above.
