The Moscow State Circus comes to town next week to bring its latest show to the stage at Royal & Derngate in Northampton.
Their latest show is called Park Gorkogo, or Gorky Park, and is set in Moscow’s cultural and artistic quarter.
The show presents this part of the Russian city as a romantic and mysterious place where you can stroll around at sunset and see some magnificent feats of human achievement.
The performance is introduced by clowns Pavlik and Klava who reminisce about past times in Moscow surrounded by flying, back-flipping, juggling and roller-skating performers.
Among the extraordinary feats of skill and strength on display are the hand-balancing of Vladislav Khostik and the graceful aerial work of acrobat Natalia Goncharova.
Audiences will also see the Kozak whip crackers and the revolving Russian Swing which catapults its 10-strong troupe high into the apex of the auditorium at breakneck speed.
The show also features the extreme roller-skating of the Veslovskis, the ladder-balancing Efremkin Brothers, and the skill of the Yakovlev vertical pole jugglers.
The Moscow State Circus show is on Wednesday, March 19, starting at 7.30pm.
Tickets are priced from £16 to £26 and can be booked by calling the box office on 01604 624811 or by visiting the website at www.royalandderngate.co.uk.
