The life of Manhattan’s women of the 1920s is the subject of a play to be performed today and tomorrow at Oundle’s Stahl Theatre in West Street.

The Women by Clare Booth Luce chronicles what happens when the wealthy battle it out to be the socialite of the season.

As the story goes, Mary Haines’ husband Stephen has an affair with Crystal; a relationship that is published in a gossip magazine. When Mary hears that Crystal has been unfaithful to Stephen, she plots to expose her in a bid to win him back.

The show is being performed by a cast from Oundle School’s Wyatt House under the direction of pupil Lily Morrish-Postlethwaite.

The show will be performed at 7.45pm each night and tickets cost £5. To book, ring the box office on 01832 273930.
