The timeless fairy tale of Sleeping Beauty will be played out in a stage version on ice next week.
Direct from a worldwide tour, The Imperial Ice Stars will open their UK tour of Sleeping Beauty on Ice at Milton Keynes Theatre from Tuesday, June 18 until Saturday, June 22.
The Imperial Ice Stars performed in the UK last year when they took their award-winning production of Swan Lake on Ice to the Royal Albert Hall.
The Imperial Ice Stars are renowned for marrying well-loved classical scores with choreography and romantic narrative, creating a fusion of ice dancing and dramatic performance.
Set to Tchaikovsky’s music, Sleeping Beauty On Ice, tells the well-known love story through a programme of ice dance, containing high-speed leaps and throws, acrobatics, aerial gymnastics and stilt skating.
Creative minds behind the show include artistic director, Tony Mercer, and Russian Olympic coach, Tatiana Tarasova.
The show will be performed each day at 7.30pm, with 2.30pm matinees on the Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. Tickets cost from £10 to £27.50. Call the box office on 0844 8717652.
