One of the most romantic operas ever written will be making its way to the Royal & Derngate stage tomorrow.
Directed in Ellen Kent’s flamboyant style, Puccini’s La Boheme promises plenty of lavish costumes and sets.
Set within the attics and backstreets of Bohemian Paris, La Boheme tells the tragic tale of the doomed, consumptive Mimi and her love for a penniless writer.
This classic tale of love and loss features many famous arias, including Your Tiny Hand Is Frozen and Muzetta’s Waltz.
Sung in Italian with English surtitles, the opera will star internationally-renowned soloists with the full Chisinau National Opera.
The performance of La Boheme will start at 7.30pm. Tickets range from £19 to £35. See www.royalandderngate.co.uk for details.
