The talents of a variety of local artists will be showcased at The Core at Corby Cube tomorrow in an event starting at 7.30pm.

The artists have been working together across a range of art forms such as spoken word, visual installation, storytelling, film-making and music at monthly Play sessions, hosted by The Core’s creative director Chris Sudworth.

Chris said: “The Play sessions bring together local artists at all stages of their creative journey in an open and informal environment to explore ways of working together to create new ideas. The Local Artists’ Showcase is testament to the amazing creative talent that Corby has to offer.”

Featured in the programme will be Head of Snakes, the band that debuted alongside international recording artist Barb Jungr, for The Core’s second birthday celebration.

There will also be large scale visuals and music installation from Carole Miles, Andy Eathorne, Mark Brennan and Nick Finn among others under the name of The Godmonkey Skyhook Amalgamation.

Visual artist Emma Davies will also be sketching during the showcase and sharing her work with audiences.

Tickets for the event cost £5. Call 01536 470470. Suitable for those aged 12 and over.
