A show arranged by the choreographer of the London 2012 Paralympic Games opening ceremony will be staged at The Core at Corby Cube tomorrow at 7.30pm.

The company Motionhouse will present a new dance production entitled Broken, which has been choreographed by Kevin Finnan.

Building on the success of Scattered, Broken is Motionhouse’s newest production, in which artistic director Mr Finnan continues his exploration of elemental themes and seeks to examine our precarious relationship with the earth.

A spokesman said: “This powerful company combines highly athletic dance with intricate digital imagery and original music in an unashamedly visual and adrenaline-fuelled spectacle.

“Using multiple layers of scrolling film and Motionhouse’s highly physical dance style, Broken creates an intriguing computer game-esque world of tunnels and burrows, shifting perspectives and see-sawing slopes and platforms.

“Hanging in suspense, the dancers negotiate the cracks and craters to this world of illusions where nothing is quite as it seems.”

Tickets cost £13, £11 or £9. Call the box office on 01536 470470.
