Omid Djalili brings his tour to town

Award-winning comedian Omid Djalili brings his tour to the county following a residency in the West End and a sold out season at the Edinburgh Festival.

The stand-up is appearing at The Castle in Wellingborough, on Wednesday, May 28.

The award-winning comedian has become a firm favourite for his stand-up performances and acting roles.

He won the Time Out Award for Best Stand Up, the EMMA Award and was a South Bank Award nominee as well as being a Perrier Award nominee.

Omid was the winner of the Best Actor Award for his lead performance in The Infidel at the Turin Film Festival. In this he played a Muslim who discovers he is adopted and was born Jewish.

The Infidel film also picked up a Loaded LAFTA award for Funniest film and Omid was short listed for the Peter Sellers Award at the London Evening Standard British Film Awards.

Other films he has appeared in include Gladiator, The Mummy, The World Is Not Enough and Sex and the City 2 and he provided one of the voices in the animation Over the Hedge.
