Jason revives West End role in Milton Keynes musical

West End and former soap star, Jason Donovan, is currently appearing in the musical Priscilla Queen Of The Desert, at Milton Keynes Theatre.

Jason has returned to the role of Tick, a part he played when the show originally opened in London.

Jason, who was a finalist in the 2012 Strictly Come Dancing season on the BBC, has had a hugely varied career as an actor and world-wide recording artist. He has sold more than 13 million albums to date.

Based on the movie, Priscilla Queen Of The Desert is an uplifting adventure of three friends who hop aboard a battered old bus, searching for love and friendship, and end up finding more than they could have ever dreamed.

The show includes an array of outrageous costumes and a hit parade of dance floor favourites including It’s Raining Men, Say A Little Prayer, Go West, Hot Stuff and Always On My Mind.

The musical originally opened in Australia in 2006 where it ran for two years before opening in the West End for a run of a further two years. The show also enjoyed a successful season on Broadway.

Along the way, it has won numerous awards, including the prestigious Olivier and Tony Awards for Best Costume Design.
