A spoof based on Ian Fleming’s most popular characters comes to Northampton this week.

James Bombed is at The Playhouse Theatre, in Clare Street from Tuesday to Saturday, September 29 at 7.45pm each night.

The spoof was written by local playwright Steve Dimmer and directed by Juliet O’Connor, it is based on the usual Ian Fleming characters, but not quite as they are most well known.

Bombed is requested by Um (M) to locate the head of an organisation who is trying to eliminate all the leaders of the free world, which sends Bombed across the globe in search of a ruthless band of women headed by Madam X.

Never before has The Playhouse seen a car chase and an underwater scene on stage, as James encounters crocodiles, sharks and a constant stream of women.Tickets cost £8 and concessions £6.50. For tickets, call 01604 627791.
