History of Britain is told at high speed

Horrible Histories comes to life
Horrible Histories comes to life

The Horrible Histories stage show is coming to Royal & Derngate in Northampton.

This time the show Barmy Britain takes a trip through the history of this country with all the nasty bits left in.

Find out about Boudicca and wonder what you would do if a Viking moved in next door.

Henry VIII, Elizabeth I and the Gunpowder Plot are all covered.

Among the historical events are the question of whether King Charles should lose his head, the thieving ways of Dick Turpin and the unlikely scene of a break-dancing party with Queen Victoria.

The fast-paced show with 3D special effects will take you from Roman Britain to the First World War in a flash. It is adapted from the books by Terry Deary.

Horrible Histories: Barmy Britain comes to Royal & Derngate from Tuesday, July 1, to Saturday, July 5, with performances at 7pm on Tuesday and Friday, 10.30am from Wednesday to Friday, 1.30pm on Wednesday and Thursday, and 11am and 2.30pm on Saturday.
