Adventure on the high seas will be brought to venues across Northamptonshire by Looking Glass Theatre’s Travelling Players.

The company has brought Robert Louis Stevenson’s famous novel, Treasure Island, to life with a staging which is currently touring many county venues.

Audiences will have the chance to meet Jim Hawkins and join his quest to stop Long John Silver and the pirates from finding the hidden gold.

An interactive, comical adventure “for all the family,” the show features four actors who play many parts, sing and even change the set.

The theatre company is currently running a special offer. For tickets booked at the Royal & Derngate, a discounted ticket price of £5 for children will be offered. The code word ‘Black Dog’ must be said on booking.

The tour will begin at the Royal & Derngate on Friday, May 10 at 7.15pm. Tickets cost £13 or £11. Ring 01604 624811.

The show will then move on to venues such as Old Village Hall, The Castle theatre in Wellingborough and Abington Park.
