Anyone fancy a wild night out in Northampton?
This is exactly what nature expert Chris Packham is promising when he drops into the Royal & Derngate on Wednesday, February 5, at 7.45pm.
Fresh from the latest season of BBC’s Winterwatch, which was hosted last week by Chris, Michaela Strachan and Martin Hughes-Games, Chris will be taking his Wild Night Out tour to the county.
The show is said to be an “entertaining and informative” look at some of nature’s most popular and interesting species.
A spokesman said: “Illustrated with his superb photographs from around the world and from his beloved UK, he explains the fascinating ecologies and behaviours of a range of creatures, from leopards to barn owls, from cheetahs to pond skaters, from polar bears to peregrines.”
An accomplished naturalist, nature photographer, TV presenter and author, Chris is arguably best known for the children’s TV series The Really Wild Show in the 1980s. In more recent times, he has become a regular feature on TV as part of seasonal nature specials.
Tickets cost £18.50. The show is said to be suitable for audience members aged eight and above. To book, see www.royalandderngate.co.uk or 01604 624811.
