Drama, comedy and poetry planned at Core

The Core at Corby Cube has announced its summer programme which includes comedy, poetry, music and drama.

Among the acts will be Return of the Grumpy Old Women - Fifty Shades of Beige starring Jenny Eclair, Susie Blake and Kate Robbins.

And there will be more comedy when the Stand Up For the NHS#2 show comes to the stage.

The Core will also host the ballroom and Latin American dance show Stars of Strictly Come Dancing starring Pasha Kovalev and Katya Virshilas. There will also be contemporary dance from Playgrounds Dance Company in Newgrounds 2014.

There will be an evening of spoken word when the 3The Hard Way tour comes to the venue. Legendary dub poet Jean Binta Breeze is touring with Lydia Towsey and Alison Dunne and they will be joined at The Core by Showcase Smoothie.

The venue will also be hosting Corby Amateur Theatrical Society’s production of Footloose.

A new production for children by the Fevered Sleep company will be produced. Dusk will be part film and part adventure. CBBC magician Christian Lee will perform his show Pop.
