The popular Screaming Blue Murder Comedy Club will return to Northampton’s Royal & Derngate tomorrow.

The three stand-up talents taking part will be Alan Francis, Robert White and Debra Jane Appleby, presided over by new compere, Simon Clayton.

Since Scottish comedian Alan Francis first came to the notice of comedy audiences when he won Channel 4’s So You Think You’re Funny Award in 1991, his reputation has grown as a writer, actor and stand-up.

Robert White has also achieved acclaim, notably from The Daily Telegraph who raved about his “souped-up risque keyboard-based songs, waspish asides and neurotically-charged camperie”.

Debra Jane Appleby is a favourite on BBC Radio Five Live, has appeared on BBC’s 28 Acts in 28 Minutes, Paramount Comedy’s The World Stands Up and as a guest on BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour.

The show will start at 8.15pm, but doors open at 7.45pm.

Tickets cost £11.50 in advance or £12.50 on the door. Call 01604 624811 or visit Recommended for those aged 16 and over.
