CHARLES Dickens’s beloved novel David Copperfield will be performed on stage at the Sharnbrook Mill Theatre this week.

The lead role will be played by Higham Ferrers pupil Bradley Gascoyne, with Guy Marshall playing the older David Copperfield.

This new adaptation by Matthew Francis brings to life the endearing tale of David’s life from childhood to maturity – from when he’s sent away by his stepfather after his mother’s death.

Throughout his life he encounters many trial and tribulations, but will he triumph over incredible adversities?

Director David Midlane said: “This is such a special show to be performing on the Mill stage. Seeing all the wonderful characters Dickens wrote come to life in front of me has been a joy.”

The show is running from Tuesday until next Saturday with performances at 7.30pm.

Tickets cost from £8 to £10 and are available from the box office on 01234 269519 or in person from Sharnbrook Post Office.
