Young people who think they would like to get involved in creating a drama for film or stage have a chance to do that at two summer courses in the school holidays.

The Film In A Week project is for ages 12 to 16 and the Play In A Week project is for ages eight to 12. The courses run from August 12 to 15 at The Core at Corby Cube.

The play course will create an adaptation of Roald Dahl’s The BFG. The course will end with the youngsters performing their play to family and friends.

The film course will create an original film in four days. Those taking part will work with professional film-maker Martin Steed.

They will learn to create a script and then shoot and edit their own piece of cinema.

Both Play In A Week and Film In A Week run from 10am to 4pm from Tuesday, August 12, to Friday, August 15.

Places are £60 and can be booked by calling 01536 470470. Bursary places are available for those facing financial difficulties.
