Another night of diverse comedy, provided by three performers, has been planned for tomorrow’s Screaming Blue Murder club at Royal & Derngate in Northampton.
Dublin-born comedian, Mary Bourke, will be one of the acts, known for her sardonic, acerbic material and deceptively soft Irish lilt. She switches from deconstructions of bad novels to furious rants at Mumsnet.
Also on stage will be Marc Lucero, fresh from his victory as Silver Stand-Up of the Year at this year’s Dave’s Leicester Comedy Festival. Marc is known to be sharp, irreverent and very funny. A late starter in stand-up, he turned to comedy in his 40s, quickly building a reputation for original material full of unexpected twists.
Dry wit and bawdy ukelele songs can be expected from Ria Lina, winner of the EMMA Award for Best Comedienne. Her near-the-knuckle gags have prompted comparisons with Sarah Silverman.
The comedy club will start at 8.15pm, but doors open at 7.45pm. Tickets cost £11.50 in advance or £12.50 on the door.
The show is recommended for those aged 16 and over. To book, call the box office on 01604 624811.
