Anecdotes and songs from Madness frontman Suggs

Madness frontman Suggs brings his one-man show My Life Story to local venues.

The singer tells the story of his life with a sense of humour but it is also a moving tale.

In the show the death of his beloved cat sends him off on a series of reminiscences about his life which includes his quest to find out what happened to the father he never knew.

In the show Suggs is accompanied by a lone pianist and he tells his tale through narrative, anecdotes and song.

Suggs’ childhood was spent in Soho and at the age of 18 he was shot to fame when the band he was in, Madness, gained massive success.

The show tells about these years of fame and also of how the band suddenly finished a few years later.

There were difficult times too as he had to rebuild his career following the collapse of the band.

Suggs: My Life Story comes to Royal & Derngate on Sunday, April 27, at 7.30pm. Tickets, priced at £27, can be booked by calling 01604 624811 or by visiting
