A comedy musical called Liberty Rides Forth is to be performed at two local venues before heading to the Brighton Fringe in May.
The show, written by David Kent, is about an author whose latest creation comes to life and causes some trouble.
It stars Jonathan Barnes, who recently toured with Jenny Seagrove in Fallen Angels, and Dereck Walker who was recently on stage in Market Harborough as Cinders’ ugly sister in Uglies Do Harborough.
The show was first performed last year at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe under the title The Next Big Thing.
The show will be performed at Loder Hall, Harborough Road, Maidwell, at 7.30pm on Friday, March 13, and Saturday, March 14.
Tickets costing £6 can be bought on the door or at www.davidkent.ticketsource.co.uk.
The show will also have a matinee performance at Open Stage, at 110 Whitworth Road (Adnitt Road entrance) Abington, Northampton, on Sunday, March 15, at 3pm. Tickets cost £6 and can be bought direct from Open Stage (07847 922542) or online from www.davidkent.ticketsource.co.uk.
