Following a successful extended tour and a sell-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe, Al Murray The Pub Landlord will bring his latest show, The Only Way is Epic, to Northampton’s Royal & Derngate tomorrow.

Britain’s most irrepressible innkeeper will be serving up more of his premier brew of ale-inspired acumen and bar-room buffoonery, with plenty of audience interaction.

A spokeswoman said: “Blustering, boorish and bigoted, but somehow lovable, the Pub Landlord first appeared in 1994 when Murray was supporting Harry Hill on tour.

“A right-wing British patriot with particular animosity towards Germans and the French, and a peculiar obsession with the music of Queen, the Pub Landlord could hardly have less in common with his creator, an Oxford history graduate and distant descendant of William Makepeace Thackeray.”

The show will begin at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £26.60. Recommended for ages 16 and above.

Comedian Ed Byrne will also be performing, at 8pm tonight, at the Royal & Derngate. Tickets cost £23.50.
