There’s something for everyone thisaAutumn at The Castle in Wellingborough.
From comedy to dance, drama to music, and film to children’s theatre, there is a packed schedule of entertainment for the whole family.
The highlight of the season is The Castle’s and bold adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic, A Christmas Carol running from December 7-29.
There is a selection of musical performances throughout the season celebrating some of the best popular music in the world. Starting with the Cavern Beatles celebrating the best hits from the fab four on September 5 followed by the U2 UK on September 25; Islands in the Stream, playing the hits of Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers on October 2; and Whitney – Queen of the Night on November 7.
For drama lovers, there is plenty to enjoy, including the one-man homage to the world’s greatest detective The Singular Exploits of Sherlock Holmes on September 16, and Crazy Glue, a comedic roller coaster of a couple’s romance on September 23.
Blackeyed Theatre’s adaptation of F Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby - a decident evocation of a society obsessed with wealth and status - runs from from September 29 and 30 and is followed by George Bernard Shaw’s Pygmalion on October 7 and 8.
Enjoy an evening of contemporary circus with STRIKE!, who use aerial structures, straps, slack rope, trick bikes and humour come to the theatre on October 14.
Dance fans can enjoy Ballet Cymru’s Cinderella on October 24, as well as Phoenix Dance Theatre’s Mixed Programme on November 18.
