Pig and Applestock fest returns

The Pig & Applestock Festival returns this weekend for three days of food and music.

The Anteloids will headline the opening night with Kontakte topping the bill on the Saturday and Jimm Zorn in the Sunday.

All three bands will joined by full supporting line ups with the like of Thee Telepaths, The Jazz Butcher Quartet, Fan Tan Jack and The Mourning Sons all playing during the weekend.

The festival, which is returning for its fourth year, takes place on the banks of the Naseby reservoir from Friday, August 28 to Sunday, August 30.

All profits will be donated to the Leicestershire MS Therapy Centre.

There will also be children’s entertainers, a samba band, a film installation, poets and late-night DJ sets.

Standard tickets for the weekend, including camping and parking, cost £25 in advance and £30 on the gate.

Camper van tickets cost £30 and children under 10 are admitted for free.

Naseby reservoir is just off junction 1 of the A14 and there will be directions for drivers.
