Ukulele Orchestra play no thrills theatre show

The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain perform at the Lighthouse tomorrow.

The band is a touring group which has been delighting audiences, raising the roof, selling out performances and receiving standing ovations since 1985.

The group of ‘all-singing, all-strumming’ ukulele players has been active for 27 years, using instruments “bought for loose change” and take on all genres of music for reinterpretation.

The orchestra is celebrated for its rapport with audiences and eliciting “a joyous feel-good reaction”.

They comprise of eight performers, eight instruments, eight voices with no special effects, light show, dancers or samples.

The orchestra plays at the Kettering venue on Friday, February 21.

Tickets cost £22 and doors open at 7.30pm.
