Former Young One and one half of Bottom, Adrian Edmondson, brings his celebrated folk-punk outfit The Bad Shepherds to The Core at Corby Cube this week.

Despite being best known for anarchic alternative comedy, music has always been a big part of Edmondson’s life, and since 2006 it has been his main focus, with The Bad Shepherds and the Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band.

The Bad Shepherds play punk songs with traditional folk instruments, with Edmondson on mandolin and lead vocals, Troy Donockley on uilleann pipes, cittern, whistles and backing vocals, and Andy Dinan on fiddle.

The group’s third album, Mud, Blood and Beer, was released over the summer to great acclaim and includes versions of songs including The Stranglers’ No More Heroes, The Jam’s Going Underground and The Blockheads’ What A Waste among others.

Adrian Edmondson And The Bad Shepherds come to The Core at Corby Cube on Friday, November 29.

Doors open at 7.30pm and tickets cost £19.
