Miranda Sykes will join Rex Preston at the Great kNight Folk Club next week.
Sykes is best known for her mysteriously incongruous role as the ‘third’ person in Devon folk duo act, Show of Hands. The double bassist has a strong repertoire of her own work and is currently working on material for her fifth solo album.
Rex Preston, a virtuoso mandolin player augments Miranda’s songs with his musicality and fluid style.
The pair play on Tuesday, February 4 at The Old White Hart in Northampton. Doors open at 8pm and admission is £9 on the door.
Support is at 8.15pm with Miranda and Rex on stage at about 8.45pm.
