Folk trio Red Shoes headline the Kontra Roots Club tomorrow night.
Having originally formed in the 1980s, the act made considerable waves on the music scene before core duo, Carolyn and Mark, took time out to raise a family.
They returned 20 years later with the support of Fairport Convention, who produced and played on their acclaimed 2010 relaunch album, Ring Around The Land.
Red Shoes are now rekindling imaginations and rousing the spirits of audiences across the folk and acoustic circuit.
Support is by the Jimmy Brewer Band and Annie Dressner.
The former combine medieval-sounding ballads, a distinctively bluesy edge and a quirky and nostalgic humour.
Dressner recently relocated to the UK from New York.
Her straightforward lyrical style, sharp ear for wordplay and highly individual, crisp lilting vocals offer listeners a front-row seat to her stories.
Kontra is at Kennedy’s Bar, Irthlingborough Road, Finedon.
Doors open at 8pm and admission is free.
