A night of classical music with a post-modern twist takes place at All Saints Church in Northampton this Saturday.

University of Northampton students will be performing Gloriosa Fusione.

The show will feature a collection of classical works that have been reworked by the university’s chamber choir and band and will feature a re-imagined performance of Vivaldi’s Gloria and Summer, Verdi’s Dies Irae and Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves, with Orff’s O Fortuna as the finale.

A collection of solos, including Puccini, Mozart and Verdi, will also be performed by singers from the chamber choir and accompanied by Northamptonshire Music and Performing Arts Trust string quartet.

Advance tickets costs £5 via Royal & Derngate.

Doors open on June 14 at 7pm.
