The Moons celebrate the release of their new album Fables Of History with a homecoming show at the Roadmender on Friday.

Their new record was released last week and follows their 2010 debut Life On Earth.

Fables Of History was recorded by Edwyn Collins and cyclist Bradley Wiggins recently revealed the record became his soundtrack for the final week of the Tour De France.

The Moons are fronted by singer songwriter and guitarist Andy Crofts, guitarist James Bagshaw, drummer Ben Gordelier, keyboard player Thomas Van Heel and bassist Thomas Warmsley.

The band combine 1960s influences with melodic guitar pop.

Last year, the band supported Liam Gallagher’s Beady Eye on their European tour.

A limited edition white vinyl version of their album is available.

The Moons play the Roadmender in Northampton on Friday.

Doors open at 7pm and tickets cost £6 in advance.
