Jazz standards to be played at Castle show

Mark Nightingale Quartet will be performing an evening of contemporary jazz at The Castle theatre in Wellingborough next week.

This jazz performance includes four musicians who have all individually been playing a wide variety of jazz for many years.

Trombone player Nightingale has recorded with Sting and James Morrison.

John Horler was long time pianist for Sir John Dankworth and Dame Cleo Lane.

Drummer Mike Smith has played with George Shearing, Georgie Fame and Elton John.Bassist Alec Dankworth has performed with the Duke Ellington Orchestra.

They have also been playing together as a quartet long enough to have developed a sympathetic and harmonious musical relationship.

Tickets for the show on Thursday, November 21. Tickets cost £12.50 and doors open at 8pm.
