Dave Ellis and Boo Howard headline The Great kNight Folk Club on Tuesday.

The pair, who are based in London, began their musical partnership in 1979 when Ellis went down from Liverpool for the London folk club.

He went on to form The Reactors, which incorporated guitar, drums and keyboards with Boo Howard playing bass and handling most of the vocals.

Their present acoustic partnership began in 1998 with Dave’s intricate guitar work and Boo’s mellow vocals combining to create something new.

The pair’s songs are intelligently constructed, elegantly articulated and entertaining, combining elements of folk, jazz, blues and bluegrass.

The Great kNight Folk Club is at The The Old White Hart in Far Cotton, Northampton, on June 4.

Doors open at 8pm and tickets cost £6.
