Dozens of acts ready to play Northampton music festival

The Northampton Music Festival takes place this Sunday, with dozens of acts due to play across the town.

The main stage will be in the town’s Market Square, with performances also outside All Saints Church and along Abington Street.

The main stage will feature sets by The Jets, King Pleasure Boogie 4, Jay Brown, Decibels, Citadel, the BBC Introducing Hip Hop Showcase, Jon Martins Italian Divorce, Greg Coulson and Jono And The Uke Dealers.

The All Saints stage will feature Kenneth J Nash, Sean Grant, a gospel choir, a rock choir, An Escape Plan, Scott Booth and Cherry Lee Mewis.

The busking stages along Abington Street will feature You Me Us, Bee Church, Charlotte Carpenter, Velvet Engine, Corinne Lucy, Corinna Jane, Megan Balmforth, Sonnet, Barricades Rise, Carly Loasby, Hana Bushnell, Benjamin Johnson and Hannah Faulkner.

There will also be music at the Racehorse pub, in Abington Square, with The Brute Chorus, Ocasan, ACODA, The Operatives, Atrocity Exhibit, Threads, Peter Marchant and The Sun all playing.

The venue will also host a pre-festival gig on Saturday from 7.30pm with Lay Siege, The Morning Chorus and Kalashnicult. More music will be at The Auctioneers, The Penny Whistle and The Old Bank pubs.

The Charles Bradlaugh will host a pre-festival party from 8pm on Saturday, featuring the Ginger Pig Band.

Sunday’s music begins at noon and admission is free.
