A host of top international DJs will descend on Corby later this month as part of a nightclub’s new monthly event.
Lounge 66 and Rubix nightclub, in the town centre, will host an array of big names usually found at superclub-sized venues.
Headlining the event, on Friday, April 26, is Brit Award-winning DJ and performer Sonique, who shot to fame as the lead singer of eighties band S’Express, and later went on to score top ten singles on both sides of the Atlantic with hits like It Feels So Good and I Put a Spell on You. More recently, she has collaborated with British DJ Paul Morrell – who will also be performing in Corby – and scored two dance chart number one tracks with What You’re Doin and Only You.
Morrell has produced hit tracks and remixes for artists including the Sugababes, Utah Saints and Lisa Maffia, and was named Best Breakthrough DJ Award in 2011 by Ministry of Sound’s Gallery Club Night.
Also on the bill is international house DJ Tall Paul, who found fame in the late 1990s remixing for artists such as New Order, Blondie and Duran Duran, and Ministry of Sound resident DJ Gavyn Mytchel.
