February weather may be causing spirits to droop but there are plenty of cheering classical concerts coming up to distract attention from the rain.
The Castle in Wellingborough will be continuing its lunchtime music series next week with a performance by the Aurora Trio.
The performers, who are from the Royal Academy Of Music and combine flute, viola and harp, have created their own arrangement of Handel’s Trio Sonata.
The event will take place on Friday, February 21 at 12.30pm. Tickets cost £10, including a buffet lunch. There will be £1 off tickets for Friends Of The Castle. To book, ring 01933 270007.
Young people interested in music might find what they are looking for in a two day ‘Sing For Fun’ course at St Matthew’s Church Hall in Northampton. The course will include singing and sporting games and other activities for children from years 4-8.
The course is being run daily on Monday, February 17 and Tuesday, February 18, from 10am until 4pm. The cost will be £20 for the two days and drinks. Participants must bring packed lunches. To book, ring Clare Pearce on 01604 450026 or email email@example.com.
