The Bootleg Beatles return to Royal & Derngate next week, paying tribute to the Fab Four’s entire career.
From the exuberance of their days in The Star Club, Hamburg and The Cavern in Liverpool, through the experimentation and psychedelia of the Sgt Pepper era, to the Apple rooftop and Let It Be, the Bootleg Beatles offer an authentic recreation of the band’s changing looks and sounds in a spectacular two-hour multi-media stage production.
It will include a brass and string section and period footage. The tribute band’s career has lasted more than three times longer than the original group.
The Bootleg Beatles have re-staged the famous 1966 concerts at the Budokan Stadium in Japan and they became the second band ever to play on the roof of the former Apple headquarters.
The Bootleg Beatles play at Royal & Derngate on Wednesday, March 6. Doors open at 8pm and tickets cost £27.50. Call 01604 624811 or visit www.royalandderngate.co.uk
