Fresh from her triumph at last year’s British Blues Awards, the ‘Female Vocalist of the Year’ Jo Harman returns to the region to headline The Stables tonight.
Harman is a British singer-songwriter influenced by blues, gospel, soul, country, rock and other ‘roots’ sensibilities.
Last Summer she released Jo Harman and Company – Live at the Royal Albert Hall, which was recorded by the BBC.
The album received universally positive critical feedback and established Jo as the rising star of the British blues scene.
Alongside her win as the ‘Female Vocalist of the Year’ at the British Blues Awards, she was also honoured with three further nominations.
In 2013, she signed to the record label V2.
Harman plays the Wavendon venue on Thursday, February 19.
Doors open at 8.45pm, tickets cost £12.50 in advance or £15 on the door before fees.
