Big band favourites, the Glenn Miller Orchestra, return to Royal & Derngate on Sunday for another night of classic wartime chart toppers.

Dynamic band leader, Ray McVay, will lead audiences on a trip down memory lane in a show that features – for the first time in half a century – a string section.

Joining them on stage are The Moonlight Serenaders as well as jazz supremos, the Uptown Hall Gang.

The Glenn Miller Orchestra has a repertoire of hundreds of original compositions, from jumping jive to slow and sweet, everything to bring the brassy big band era boisterously to life.

The core of the bands’ catalogue is based firmly in the classic swing era of the 1940s and the show features much-loved hits, including In The Mood, Tuxedo Junction and Chattanooga Choo Choo, along with a special selection of finer arrangements performed by the Glenn Miller Strings.

Doors open at 5pm and tickets cost £19.50.
