Award winning folk duo Kathryn Roberts and Sean Lakeman headline The Stables next week.

The pair released their new album, Tomorrow Will Follow Today, earlier this year.

This husband-and-wife duo had been absent from the music scene for almost a decade before their highly-acclaimed 2012 album, Hidden People.

Sean had been busy touring the world with his brother Seth’s band while Kathryn remained in Devon bringing up the couple’s twin daughters.

The couple were voted ‘best duo’ at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards in 2013 and were also nominated in the Best Original Song category for The Ballad of Andy Jacobs.

In addition to his chart-topping hit records for his brother, Sean has also produced albums and tracks with The Levellers, Billy Bragg, Frank Turner and Imelda May.

The pair play the Wavendon venue on Tuesday, April 21. Support is by Hattie Briggs.

Doors open at 8pm, tickets cost £14.50 before fees.
