The eldest son of legendary blues-man Muddy Waters headlines The Castle Theatre on Wednesday.
As the son of the King of Chicago blues, Mud Morganfield’s powerful and potent voice combines a deep emotional resonance and good old-fashioned swagger.
The show will include some of Muddy’s greatest hits alongside Mud’s own original material.
Morganfield’s 2014 album For Pops was a tribute to his father and together with Thunderbirds frontman Kim Wilson, saw him make a personal statement about his roots.
Despite countless nominations at the Blues Music Awards and a growing fan base, Morganfield is taking his surging popularity in his stride.
Mud Morganfield plays the Wellingborough venue on Wednesday, May 6.
Doors open at 8pm, tickets cost £12.50 in advance before fees by calling 01933 270 007 or online at www.thecastle.org.uk
