Motorsport action at Rockingham Speedway

This looks set to be an exciting weekend for motorsport in Northamptonshire, with the Caterham Festival taking place at Rockingham Speedway.

The two-day British Racing & Sports Car Club (BRSCC) HQ-run meeting will be staged on the International Super Sportscar Circuit and will feature the Caterham Academy Championship, the Caterham Road, track and supersport championship and the Productions GTI Championship.

The action will begin at 9am on Saturday with the Avon Tyres Caterham Roadsport Championship and culminate on Sunday at 4.35pm with the Teekay Couplings Productions GTI Championship.

Formed in 1946, the BRSCC now oversees more than 50 race meetings and 25 championships.

Over the years the club has played a leading role in introducing a range of activities to the British motorsport scene such as night racing amd the Birmingham International Superprix.

The 1.94-mile International Super Sportscar Circuit is used for all car race events at Rockingham.

Tickets are available from £15 in advance. Children under 16 go free if accompanied by an adult.
