Mancunian legends Inspiral Carpets return to the Roadmender in Northampton next week.
Alongside The Happy Mondays, The Smiths, New Order and The Stone Roses, the Inspiral Carpets were an integral part of the Manchester music scene which saw the band rise to fame during the Madchester indie dance phenomenon of the early 1990s.
The band had numerous top 20 singles including This Is How It Feels, Joe, Saturn 5, Move, Dragging Me Down and the classic I Want You, which featured legendary Fall frontman Mark E Smith’s only ever TOTP appearance.
As well as hit singles, the band also cracked the top 10 with their four albums Life, Revenge of the Goldfish, The Beast Inside, Devil Hopping as well as a best-selling Greatest Hits collection.
The band has played huge gigs around the UK with shows at Gmex in Manchester and Alexandra Palace in London as well as headlining the Reading Festival in 1991. Their last UK tour in 2012 saw them sell out shows across the country.
Inspiral Carpets will be playing their hits and classic favourites, as well as songs from their latest studio album which was released this year on Saturday, October 20.
