Kettering hotel tickles tastebuds with local produce

A hotel is planning to promote local food and drink suppliers by offering its diners some of the best fare the county has to offer.

Kettering Park Hotel has created a Taste of the Regions table in its restaurant and bar which is stocked with some of the finest items that Northamptonshire can provide

A spokesman for the hotel said: “We’ve always worked hard with local suppliers, and head chef Jamie Mason has some fabulous local artisan food growers and producers in his network.

“So we’re delighted to now be able to make them the stars of the show as we feature all the lovely produce on our Taste of the Region Table.

“It’s stocked each night with a generous helping of all the tasty treats – including seafood, cured meats, salads and much more.

“You can choose to dine from the table either as a starter or a main course.”

The items on offer include homemade sausages from Potters of Stanwick, preserves from Dovecote Farm, Mellow Yellow Rapeseed Oil and Dressings from Farringtons and a selection of pickles and chutneys from the Pickled Village.

Other items on offer include cheese from Leicestershire and pies from Melton Mowbray.

The hotel spokesman said: “We’re always on the lookout for new suppliers.

“If you’ve a product you think we’d like, then please do contact Jamie at the hotel.“

If you want to enjoy a taste of the region, call into the hotel between 6pm and 7pm, Monday to Thursday and take advantage of the Early Bird offer and dine for £12.95 for two courses.

Alternatively, try the Sunday lunch between midday and 2pm, which is £19.50 for three courses and a glass of sparkling wine.
