A second poster urging vigilance against thieves and burglars designed by a primary school pupil will be distributed through a high-crime estate.

Jamie Phillips, 10, won the second Young Detectives poster competition to be held at Park Junior School, Kettering.

PCSO Kirsty Ellerby, one of the officers to judge the competition, said: “They were excellent.”

Members of Kettering Safer Community Team have already distributed posters designed by Year 6 pupil Molly Phillips in January, but the contest was such a success the school invited the police back to run it again with Year 5.

PCSO Ellerby said: “I’m very pleased they invited us back and that the pupils enjoyed the scheme so much. They remembered all the things we taught them so well.”
