Fine Art Students from the University of Northampton have swapped their paintbrushes for some more unusual mediums in an exhibition to be seen later this month.
The show is called Isolate and can be seen from Friday May 13 to Saturday May 19 with a private viewing the day before.
Sharon Read, one of two curators for the show described it as:“The theoretical and practical concept of this show is for MA Fine art students, as artists and researchers, to challenge the boundaries or specifications within their art practice in relation to the term ‘exhibition’.
“Avenue Gallery, situated within the heart of the university, offers the postgraduate cohort the opportunity to test their practice, theory and placement within a fine art context. The aims of the exhibition is to create a diverse and intelligent consolidation of skill, theory, and artistic ambition.”
Members of the public will be able to interact with the artists exhibiting.
There will be 15 Artists featuring in Isolate and there work uses mediuns including painting and drawing to printmaking and video.
