Faith bags designed by primary school children have been

donated to Wellingborough Library.

Each of the bags has a different religious theme. The subjects they cover include creation, worship, sacred texts, water, light and celebration.

Children from Mears Ashby C of E Endowed School and Victoria Primary School, Wellingborough, each designed a set of bags then decorated the carriers according to their theme. Each bag contained books and artefacts relating to the specific subject.

They also contain a DVD, produced for the group by youngsters who attend the Wellingborough Infuse Cafe’ project, in which local faith representatives answer questions on the subjects.

Cynthia Bailey, chairman of Wellingborough Inter Faith Group, presented the bags to staff at the library recently.

Meetings of the Interfaith Group take place once a month.

The next meeting of the group will take place tonight at The Victoria Centre, Palk Road, Wellingborough, at 7.30pm.
