Youngsters dancing their way to Corby

Move over Blackpool, as for a few days starting Saturday, another town will be the dance capital in England.

The Corby Festival of Dance comes to The Core at Corby Cube running from Saturday July 23 to Thursday July 28.

A number of young people aged between four and 21 from all over England will be competing at the event.

Singers and dancers will be hoping that they make a real impression at the event as to qualify for the North London Regional Finals being held next May.

The festival will involve around 1,200 performances showcasing numerous genres from competitors from over 25 dancing schools.

The purpose of the festival is to advance and promote the study and practice of the art of dance for the public benefit by the provision of an amateur dance festival designed for children.
