Terrifying tale of notorious killer in Wellingborough

The Castle Theatre in Wellingborough will not be the only thing bought back to life with a scary show this Halloween.

C&D Productions present Jack the Ripper at the venue from Thursday to Saturdat October 27 to 29.

The original adaptation written by Sophie Mort and Imogen Ray will feature a local cast and is being directed by Chris Lynch and Madison Godfrey.

The theatre company which was founded in 2014 is based in Kettering and most recently performed two plays at this years Edinburgh Fringe Festival to sold out audiences.

C&D went on to reopen The Castle theatrically with a review of these shows and are looking forward to bringing a full show run to the space.

Artistic director Chris Lynch said: “I’m so pleased that the theatre company has reached several big milestones recently.

“We embarked on our first theatre tour, performing our edfringe previews in Kettering, Corby, Bedford and finally at The Castle in Wellingborough.

“The experience of performing at the Edinburgh Fringe was of huge benefit to the cast and production team involved and we’ll strive to continue giving local performers and creatives similar experiences in the future.”

Tickets are available by emailing [email protected]. It starts at at 7:30pm each night.

C&D will also be launching theatre classes in Wellingborough thanks to a grant by Wellingborough Council.

The classes will cover a range of acting, singing and dance and will be for anyone aged between 6-21yrs of age.
