Television presenter David gears up for Northampton panto

David McLelland plays Prince Charming in Snow White and the Seven Dwarves and his daughters are delighted he is in the show.

He said: “They are all over fairy tales and the fact that I am playing a Prince in one of their favourite ever stories means the absolute world to them.

“I’ve done pantomime since the late 1990s and have questioned, especially as I have my own children, why I should be thousands of miles away entertaining other people’s children.

“But I took a year off, and I was bored that Christmas, I was missing. And my eldest asked if I was going to be wearing any silly clothes. She was disappointed and so I made the decision to do it again.”
