Amongst the farewell cards is an anonymous poem, the content of which causes her such distress that she dies of a heart attack.

There will be a chance for wannabe Sherlocks to figure out who would want to kill a respectable author and much loved mother, sister and auntie at her own early retirement party in a suave hotel.

The audience have the opportunity to guess who they think the culprit might be, while enjoying a two course evening meal with tea, coffee, or a soft drink.

Tickets are £5 for children and £10 for adults and must be booked in advance due to the catering arrangements. They are available from The Abbey Centre by calling 01604 767568 ext 1, Pat Johnson on 07736254241 or email [email protected].
