Solid 60s show back at theatre

Now in its 31st year, Solid Silver 60s returns to Royal & Derngate on Monday.

The show features a line up including Peter Noone, Dave Berry and special guest Brian Hyland, as well as Solid Silver 60s favourites New Amen Corner and The Merseybeats.

Noone is best known for being lead singer of the 60s pop band Herman’s Hermits. Their hits included I’m Into Something Good and Mrs Brown. During their career they sold 60 million records.

His album with the Tremblers, Twice Nightly and his solo effort, One Of The Glory Boys, were both critically and commercially successful.

Berry became a 60s icon with the top ten singles The Crying Game and My Baby Left Me.

Hyland rose to fame in 1960 with the number one single Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini while The Merseybeats enjoyed hits including Don’t Turn Around and I Think Of You and Sorrow.

Solid Silver 60s is at Royal & Derngate on Monday, April 11, at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £29 before fees.
